It's a small world after all

Checking my counter page and WOW, people from all over the world - Hungary, Australia, India, Taiwan, Detroit - have visited this blog in recent days. How cool is that?

On a totally unrelated note, I'm amazed at how much Blogging and Print on Demand are changing the way we work as journalists and authors. You no longer have to be connected with one of the big outfits to get a foot in the door. All you need is a laptop, a modem and a dream. I think it will be fascinating to see how Blogs change the way we cover news and events and also how Print on Demand does for books what iTunes did for music. All of a sudden your choices of what to read and finding new authors are going to be infinite. I think it's really cool, and I think as always talented people who otherwise would get lost in the shuffle will have a chance to shine.
